Lo Cretsou

Lo Cretsou refers to the sheepfold in Occitan for which it was used in the early 1900s. Sheep have given way to goats at Les Bernardies and now have their own goat pasture.

Layout:

First floor: living room with a wood stove, dining area and open kitchen (refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher), bathroom (shower, toilet, 2 sinks), separate toilet, and two staircases leading to two separate second floors:

1st floor: master bedroom (double bed), 2nd bedroom (two single beds,)

1st floor 2: master bedroom (two single beds, desk), 2nd bedroom (two single beds).

The first floor is heated with a portable electric radiator and a wood stove, the second floor with electric radiators.

Terrace: table with 8 chairs, 2 deck chairs and a barbecue.

Lou Goratse

Lou Goratse (the garage) is at the end of the road below. It has a large terrace with a splendid view to Domme. It also has a veranda where you can sit and dream in the evening.

Layout:

First floor: living room with wood stove, dining area, open kitchen (fridge, oven, stove), bathroom (shower, toilet, sink), master bedroom (one double bed) and 2nd bedroom (2 single beds).

Mezzanine: children’s play area.

Tower: 3rd bedroom (two single beds).

Lou Goratse is heated with portable electric heaters.

Veranda: sofa and two chairs with a coffee table.

Terrace: table with 6 chairs, 2 deck chairs and a barbecue.

L’Escudorio

L’Escudorio werd gebouwd in 1829 en de naam in het Occitaans verwijst naar de stal. Het ligt in het centrum van Les Bernardies.

Lay-out:

Begane grond: woonkamer met grote open haard, eethoek en twee bedden in alkoof, open keuken (koelkast, oven, fornuis, afwasmachine).

1e verdieping: hoofdslaapkamer (2-persoonsbed), 2e slaapkamer (2 1-persoonsbedden, 2 opklapbare slaapbanken) en badkamer (douche, wc, wastafel).

De benedenverdieping wordt verwarmd met centrale verwarming, de eerste verdieping met elektrische radiatoren.

Terras: tafel met 6 stoelen, 2 ligstoelen en een barbecue.

Lo Tsouco

Lo Tsouco means goat house in Occitan. Not that there have ever been goats in this house … In the early morning when there is fog in the valley, the view is spectacular … in good weather too, of course!

Layout:

first floor: living room with fireplace, dining area, open kitchen (fridge, oven, stove) and bathroom (shower, toilet, sink).

Second floor: master bedroom (double bed), 2nd bedroom (single bed and bunk beds.).

Lo Tsouco is heated with portable electric heaters.

Terrace: table with 4 chairs, 2 deck chairs and a barbecue

Lo Pertsorio

Lo Pertsorio, named after the pigsties that once stood to the left of the house. This house has a beautiful view of the valley with its own sitting area and terrace.

Layout:

first floor: living room with fireplace, dining area, open kitchen (refrigerator, oven, stove) and bathroom (shower, toilet, sink).

Second floor: master bedroom (double bed), 2nd bedroom (two single beds).

Lo Pertsorio is heated with electric radiators.

Terrace: table with 4 chairs, 2 deck chairs, sitting area and barbecue.

Maison de Garde

The guardhouse is located immediately to the left at the entrance to Les Bernardies.

Lay-out:

ground floor: living room with fireplace, dining area and large bedroom (one double bed) ‘

1st floor: corridor, open kitchen, toilet, bathroom (shower, washbasin).

Room in the tower: 2nd bedroom (2 single beds).

Maison la Garde is heated with underfloor heating on the ground floor and first floor, the tower room with electric radiators.

Terrace: table with 4 chairs, 2 loungers and a barbecue.

Lo Grantso

Lo Grantso, or the little barn in Occitan, with its veranda, offers a view of both the large lawn in the middle of the Bernardies and the courtyard. Everything can be watched closely.

Layout:

first floor: living room with fireplace, dining area and open kitchen (refrigerator, oven, stove).

Second floor: master bedroom (double bed), 2nd bedroom (two single beds), bathroom (shower, toilet) directly accessible from both bedrooms (separate doors).

Lo Grantso is heated with central heating.

Terrace: table with 4 chairs, 2 deck chairs and a barbecue.

Lou Fournial

Lou Fournial is our smallest gîte and means oven in Occitan. From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the Dordogne valley and you can see the lights of Gourdon in the evening.

first floor: living room with fireplace, dining area, open kitchen (refrigerator, oven, stove) and bathroom (shower, toilet, sink).

Second floor: master bedroom (double bed and a single bed).

Lou Fournial is heated with electric radiators.
